Jet-Propelled Wing Takes Flight

Alright, before we begin, one and a two and a three, Happy Birthday to you... XD

Well, here's a bit of news that caught my interest. If you remember in the movie Nausicaä and the Valley of the Wind, the characters in the valley would fly around on these jet-propelled wings or gliders.

This model on the left is from the Ghibli museum.

However, some Japanese students and artists got together just a few months ago to test out an actual flying version they were working on.

Pictures from their flight are available on this Japanese web stite dubbed "Project OpenSky".
